The Japan-Turkey co-production film "Shipwreck 1890" The film is based on true events that took place in September 1890 near Oshima, Kushimoto, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, where a naval ship carrying a Turkish delegation sank, resulting in 618 people falling into the sea, with over 500 casualties. A total of 69 survivors were rescued by local residents. This shipwreck rescue event is still etched in the hearts of the Turkish people.
